Welcome
We warmly welcome you to Baldwins Gate Primary School and do hope you find our website both informative and helpful. As a Church school the Christian ethos is very important to us all. We seek to achieve high academic standards within a happy, caring and stimulating environment in which children enjoy learning and are encouraged to do their best. We are committed to a partnership in education between home and school to achieve the best for your child. We are proud of our school and the high standards of behaviour and learning which our children achieve. This is due to a caring and conscientious staff team with high expectations. We hope that your child's learning journey at Baldwins Gate will be happy, fulfilling and memorable. Background Baldwins Gate CE (VC) Primary School was opened in l969 when the Church Schools at Butterton, Chapel Chorlton and Whitmore were amalgamated. The school caters for children between the ages of three and eleven and is set in attractive grounds, which include two hard playing areas, an Early Years area and an extensive playing field. Part of the playing field has been converted into a ‘Learning and Growing Garden’. The School is on one storey and has disabled access at main entrances/exits. The School emphasises its Church of England foundation and maintains the traditional values and practices of a village school, while employing the best modern educational practice and development in accordance with the statutory requirements of the National Curriculum. The teaching is a mixture of individual tuition, group teaching and class work so that the children may progress at a speed which suits their needs. |
Our vision statement
Baldwins Gate Primary School is a Christian school where children, inspired by our Christian values, learn together to be the best that they can be. Through respect, tolerance and kindness they learn that they are unique and valued and to celebrate the value and uniqueness of others. 4 Love is patient, love is kind. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always perseveres. We are only too aware of the important role our parents play in supporting our pupils and value our partnership with you.
