Spanish in primary school introduces young learners to a new language and culture, fostering an early interest in language learning. Key Stage 2 pupils receive structured Spanish lessons, where they develop foundational skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through engaging activities, games, and songs. To spark an early interest and create a positive association with language learning, EYFS children and Key Stage 1 pupils participate in taster mini-Spanish sessions throughout the year, experiencing the sounds of the language and basic vocabulary through playful and interactive experiences.
