Sports Premium Funding

At Baldwins Gate Primary School, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to lead a healthy, active lifestyle and develop a lifelong enjoyment of physical activity and sport. Positive experiences of PE, sport and physical activity from an early age can help children develop healthy habits that continue throughout their lives. Regular physical activity also supports children’s physical health, mental wellbeing, confidence, teamwork and overall development.

The PE and Sport Premium provides funding to help Baldwins Gate Primary School make additional and sustainable improvements to the quality of PE, physical activity and sporting opportunities we provide. The purpose of this funding is to enhance the provision already available through our core school budgets, ensuring that pupils have access to high-quality PE teaching, a broad range of sporting activities and opportunities to participate in physical activity both within and beyond the school day.

At Baldwins Gate Primary School, we use the Sports Premium to support improvements in areas such as staff development, the quality of PE teaching, participation in competitive and inclusive sport, physical activity opportunities and the provision of resources and equipment.
