School Uniform

PE Kit

To ensure children can take part safely and comfortably in physical education, all pupils are required to wear:

• A plain-coloured T-shirt in their house colour (red, blue, green, or yellow)

• Navy or black shorts, joggers, or leggings

• Trainers suitable for indoor and outdoor activities

• A school sweatshirt or cardigan can be worn over the kit if needed

Children should come to school dressed in their PE kit on their designated PE days.

When children first join Baldwins Gate, they will receive one complimentary house-coloured PE T-shirt. Additional or replacement T-shirts can be purchased directly from the school office.

Swimming Kit

For swimming lessons, pupils will need:

• Girls: a one-piece swimming costume

• Boys: swimming trunks (please avoid long swim shorts)

• A swimming hat (required for all children)

• A named towel

• Flip-flops or sliders

Forest School Kit

Forest School sessions take place outdoors in all weathers, so children must be dressed appropriately to stay warm, dry, and comfortable. Please ensure your child has:

• A waterproof coat and waterproof trousers or an all-in-one waterproof suit

• Old clothes (long sleeves and trousers) that you don’t mind getting muddy

• Wellies

• An old hat and gloves in cold weather, and an old sunhat during warmer months

• A labelled bag to keep their Forest School kit together

(Your class teacher will let you know your child's forest school day before your child is due to start forest schools).

Clothes Labelling

To help minimise lost property, please ensure that all clothing, footwear, and accessories are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
